Slippin' Into Another Tuesday...

I am so sorry I have not blogged in a few days....I have been really busy.

Me and hubby saw "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today-and there was a really good episode on with the actress Christina Applegate. As you may have heard, this year she came out and told everyone she had breast cancer and had decided to have a double mascetomy, & I applaud her for doing so. If I were in the same situation, I would have done the same thing. Usually, I don't watch the show, but today I'm glad I did. Did you know you can still get breast cancer even if there is no family history in your family for the disease? Incredible. Please, please, please, get a mammogram AND an MRI to be sure you don't have it. And do you know what the cool thing is? Even if you do have it, and you do what you have to do to get better, there is a chance that you will still be alive within 10 years...I think the percentage is 81%. That's a damn good percentage!

Our daughter will be 6 months old on the 7th of this month-hooray-and this weekend, we will be going out to eat and then we'll go bowling. It's been years since I've been bowling. I can't wait!

That's all for now! Talk to you soon-

The Day's Almost Over

I actually woke up early this morning, before hubby(boy, that's a switch, huh?)and with baby girl in my arms, went on the computer to fart around and to do some early morning email checking. Hubby slept in this morning because he was tired.

I made breakfast and coffee, and watched "Maury"(love that drama, gotta have it every day!)

My mom in law was supposed to come over to see baby girl, but then the plans were changed and now she's coming over on Sunday afternoon. She loves baby girl! :) And why shouldn't she? She's only the cutest baby in the world.

"The Steve Wilkos Show" was good today-today, a young boy got the chance to confront his jerk Dad-if you missed it, you missed a damn good show!

We had lunch, and now hubby's napping. Baby girl is teething, and she cried quite a lot today, but now she's napping as well.

Later on, when hubby gets up, we'll play Monopoly-and whoever loses....:)

Happy Thursday To All

Well, I woke up with a mission today-call my rep's supervisor and try to get a hold of someone at the office today. When I called this morning, you guessed it-voice mail again. I left a message and said that at this point, this was no joke, and I was coming down there today, so someone had better be there to take care of this situation.

After breakfast with hubby and baby girl, I watched "Maury" and a little bit of "Family Court With Judge Penny". I wanted to curl my hair today after my shower, but, alas, there was no time to do so. I slicked my hair back and put a banana clip in it, and I was out the door.

It takes about an hour to get to this place, and when I got there, I was pleased that I was serviced within 10 mins. That's a switch, because usually around the time I arrived, all of the reps are at lunch.

Guess what? The rep I had almost a year ago took care of me, after informing me that the rep I had been dealing with was no longer there. Wow, I thought. Probably because he kept messing up his cases, and was inept and inefficient. Surprise, surprise.

This woman, the first time I spoke to her, was a dufus as well, but we'll see what happens. I hope she's not reassigned back to me-I don't like her. So now, since my old rep is gone, all of his cases will be assigned to new reps. Oh, joy. I have to call this lady back next week and follow up with what's going on with my case.

I stopped off at the grocery store to pick up some pop, and at the counter, the cashier was suggestive selling Sun Chips. If you've never had these chips, get them, they are delicious. I didn't get any-just pop-boo!

And then I came home to hubby and baby. We had lunch and watched the rest of "The Steve Wilkos Show". We're playing Monopoly later. For real money :)

Happy Wed to All!

I woke up this morning, and again-you guessed it-hubby was already up listening to music on the computer. I came in the living room with baby girl and we exchanged a few early morning pleasantries.

I called the same place I called yesterday and again, got the voicemail of the person I called-not them in person. As of this writing, I have called a total of 4 times in the space of a day and a half and no return phone call back. I informed them as politely as I could that if I do not receive a phone call by the end of the business day today, I will be down there tomorrow and someone had better be there to take care of me. This means either my rep, or his supervisor, not another rep.

I saw a little bit of "Maury"(love that Maury drama), and then I saw which is now one of my favorite shows-"Family Court With Judge Penny". She is a judge who does not pussyfoot around-she gets down to the nitty gritty. Today's episode was great-two sisters arguing over unpaid rent. The older sister was cool, except for her wearing blue eyeshadow(thank heavens she didn't have her hair dyed blond-some Black women just do not look good with blond hair). The younger sister was a trip-her older sister says her younger sister thinks she's the "Black Paris Hilton". There she was, with her haughty, superior attitude, her yaki hair weave(I can always spot a weave, she should have gotten a human hair weave, those look more natural), and her wanna be ghetto fab look. She was the one who owed the money, and, of course, she felt she didn't have to pay it back. Hubby and I were rolling on the floor over this case. She actually told the Judge she was fabulous, and when the Judge asked her why she felt that way, she replied because she has a man. I was like "Say what?"

Her older sister is 32, and Miss Paris Hilton was 28(and acted much younger). Judge Penny got down home and broke it down to both of the sisters, but she was especially down home to Miss Paris Hilton.

Anyway, Judge Penny ruled in favor of her older sister, so now, Miss Paris Hilton has to pay up and I guess she had better get her man to help her pay her back rent. She needs to grow up, and fast. Maybe while her man is helping her pay her sister back, he can help her pay for some human hair for her weave, and for a class in reality.

I had breakfast, some decaf, and fed baby girl. Then, I checked my email, and messed around on www.projectplaylist.com. I also went on wikipedia and looked up Quincy Jones. He's multi-talented, and I love his music. He's been married three times. His mother is related to George Washington and John McCain. Very interesting.

Then, hubby came home with two really adorable snuggle bunny outfits for baby girl for the winter time. They smelled so good, just like my mom in law's house. She uses this laundry soap that I love, and the name escapes me now.

Hubby and I looke up Paul McCartney. Can you believe that he's planning on getting married again? Can you say "rebound marriage"? I don't think he should get married for a while. Hubby says, "He can't stand to be alone", and I agree. As if his last marriage shouldn't have taught him something.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for reading this-talk to you tomorrow! JA

Happy Tuesday One And All!

Today, I woke up and looked over to my right side of the bed. I realized that my hubby was not beside me, so I got up. Of course, he was on the computer working. He takes pride in what he does, and he is very good and very detailed.

I made some coffee and made a phone call. The voicemail on the other end of the line informed me that the person I was calling for was not available, and to hang up and call another number to leave a message. This was the man's supervisor. I thought, "Finally, something will get done". This man is so inefficient, his supervisor is taking his calls for him. Why? Because he's probably gotten complaints before from people he's supposing to be helping.

I'm waiting until 1:30PM, and then I'll call again. I don't want to piss her off. She's actually helped me in the past.

I had my breakfast, and then watched "Maury"(it's my guilty pleasure), and then I fed baby girl.

My Dad is supposed to be coming over this afternoon for a visit. When he was over a few weeks ago, he marvelled at how beautiful and how precious baby girl was. Of course, me and hubby knew that already. :)

There's a really good episode of "The Steve Wilkos Show" this afternoon. I love this show. One day, me and hubby are going to see the show, provided we can get a babysitter.

That's all for now. Talk to you soon.

So far, I've earned two dollars-not enough for a nice dinner for me and hubby(well, McDonalds maybe), but it's better than nothing!

Thanks! Talk to you tomorrow!

Pissed

My hubby is at his Mom's house, doing some cleaning for her, so it's just me and our daughter here. It was so hot today, I thought I was going to faint from the heat. Thank God for air conditioning.

Tonight, he's making dinner. I made it last night, and it was a very good meal. We had steak, baked potato, corn on the cob, and a salad. After dinner, we watched a little bit of "A Few Good Men", which actually is a pretty good movie. I don't know what it is, after a good dinner, I get sleepy and want to crawl up in the bed and go to sleep, so that's exactly what I did.

The first part of the morning was spent looking for some paperwork-we didn't find it. We were able to get it for free, or we would have been out $25.00. In tough times such as these, every little bit helps.

So, that's my last 24 hours in a nutshell. I will do another one tomorrow, and hopefully, it will be more interesting than this. :)

Welcome To My Very First Blog!

Well, it's a Sunday afternoon in my town, and I am bored. Everyone in the house is taking a nap, and I decided to use this quiet time to create a blog and let everyone know what I'm all about.

I will write about things going on my life(without getting too personal, of course), but then I will also write things of interest to me, such as movies I like, music, books, etc.

What I can tell you is that I'm happily married and that we have a baby girl who will be 6 months old next month. I cannot believe how fast time has flown. It seems like only yesterday that we had her, and we were getting up for those ever popular middle of the night, early morning feedings that us veteran parents are soooo familiar with.

I am really excited about starting a new job this week, as I have been unemployed since last year. I will tell you how that's going as well.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading this! Talk to you soon....JA
